The top cover is connected to the side support by two hinges. They allow the lid to rotate and operate on the robot when it is in the charging station. The self-supporting base is anchored to the ground through the use of No. 4 hairpins (200x40x200 mm) included. The lid also has a slot, which allows the rain sensor to detect water even when the robot is in the charging station.
